The 13th edition of the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Awards, organized by Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha, showcased an extraordinary celebration of Indian culture, spirituality, and global achievements at the historic Queen’s Hall of the Parliament of Victoria, Australia.

The ceremony commenced with the national anthems of India and Australia, followed by a soulful recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa by Mahant Dr. Nareshpuri Ji Maharaj of Mehandipur Balaji Dham. The collective chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa inside the Parliament of Victoria marked a historic moment, leaving attendees deeply moved and sending a powerful message about the global acceptance and appreciation of Indian culture and spiritual traditions.

The event brought together delegates from 18 countries, including politicians, business leaders, academicians, scientists, spiritual leaders, and social activists. A total of 25 distinguished international personalities were honoured with the Bharat Gaurav Award for their exceptional contributions in their respective fields.

Since its inception in 2012, the Bharat Gaurav Awards have earned recognition as one of the most respected international honours for individuals of Indian origin and global achievers. Previous editions have been hosted at prestigious global venues, including the British Parliament in London, the French Senate, the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and Dubai.




Distinguished Guests Attend the Ceremony

The event was graced by Mahant Dr. Nareshpuri Ji Maharaj as the Chief Guest. Special Guests included Steve Dimopoulos, Minister for Environment of the Government of Victoria; Viv Nguyen AM, Chairperson of the Victorian Multicultural Commission and former Minister; MP Meng Heang Tak; and Rakesh Kumar Shukla, Chief Advisor to the Prayagraj Mahakumbh.

Addressing the gathering, Pt. Suresh Mishra, President of Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha, stated that the objective of the Bharat Gaurav Awards is to honour individuals whose work has made extraordinary contributions to society, the nation, and humanity. Speaking on the occasion, Mahant Dr. Nareshpuri Ji Maharaj said that the Hanuman Chalisa is not merely a religious recitation but a message of humanity, service, strength, positivity, and devotion. He described Lord Hanuman as a universal symbol of courage, dedication, and patriotism whose life continues to inspire people toward duty and selfless service.

Special Tribute to Late Piyush Pandey

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Bharat Gaurav Award to the late Padma Bhushan and posthumously awarded Padma Vibhushan recipient Piyush Pandey, the globally renowned advertising expert. The honour was viewed as a heartfelt tribute to his remarkable creative legacy and contribution to the communications industry.

According to Event Coordinator Sunil Khetpalia, the distinguished awardees included Amruta Fadnavis, Padma Shri awardee Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swami, Kaushaliya Vaghela, the first Indian-origin Member of Parliament in Australia, industrialist Sanwar Harshwal, Padma Shri classical vocalist Dr. Soma Ghosh, spiritual leader Karauli Shankardas Ji Maharaj, New Zealand community leader Narendra Bhana, Vivek Yadav, Chairman of Delhi Public School, Ayurveda expert Rita Sagrani, renowned American pediatrician Dr. Ashok Jain, environmentalist Sahar Bhamla, industrialist Dr. G. Shanmuga Raja, educationist Prof. Dr. Nirmala S. Maurya, U.S.-based entrepreneur Randhir Thakur, Rajyogi B.K.
